OAP FOUND GUILTY OF FIFE CHILD SEX ABUSE IN 1990s

A 76-year-old man is behind bars for sexually assaulting two young girls in Fife in the 1990s.

The girls were aged just seven and eight at the time and they were abused in Newburgh, where James Parker lived at the time.

Parker, of Abbey Terrace, High Street, Auchterarder, went on trial at Dunfermline Sheriff Court and the jury unanimously found him guilty of two charges.

On various occasions between 12th February 1991 and 11th February 1993, at Towerwell Square, Newburgh, and addresses elsewhere, he used lewd, indecent and libidinous behaviour towards a girl then aged 7 years.

He repeatedly touched her private parts and induced her to touch his penis.

On various occasions between 15th December 1992 and 14th December 1993, at Towerwell Square, he used lewd, indecent and libidinous behaviour towards another girl who was then aged eight years and touched her private parts under her clothing.

Sheriff Krista Johnson called for reports and Parker was remanded in custody until sentencing on 25th April.
