HAWICK MAN ADMITS 7 YEARS OF DOMESTIC ABUSE AND GETS AWAY WITH COMMUNITY SERVICE
At Jedburgh Sheriff Court, a Hawick man who pleaded guilty to nearly seven years of domestic abuse towards his partner was sentenced to 200 hours of unpaid work.James Parker, aged 31 and from Hassendean Court, admitted to engaging in behavior that was abusive to the woman involved.
The abusive incidents took place in Hawick and Majorca between April 2019 and January of this year.
He was ordered to fulfill the community service within a 12-month period.
A nonharassment order was also issued, prohibiting him from having any contact with his former partner.
