February 2019 Sex offender sentenced  A sex offender who denied sexual assault has been jailed after a jury did not believe his lies. James Lenaghan, 62 of Newry appeared at Newry Courthouse and pleaded not guilty to three counts of sexual assault on a female  However, the jury saw trough his lies and found him guilty on all three charges Lenaghan was sentenced to a total of 15 months imprisonment of which he will serve half He was also told to register as a sex offender for ten years
