ACCUSED MILFORD HAVEN RAPIST TO STAND TRIAL AT CROWN COURT
A man from Milford Haven has appeared before magistrates charged with rape and sexual assault.James Kershaw, aged 46, is accused of raping a woman in Milford Haven sometime between February 1, 2013, and March 31, 2014.
He is also charged with sexually assaulting a female over 13 by inserting his finger between December 1 and December 30, 2012.
Kershaw attended Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court via video link on Tuesday (June 23) and denied both allegations.
Because the offenses are serious, magistrates declined to hear the case and referred it to Swansea Crown Court, where Kershaw is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on July 24.
He was granted conditional bail, with the only restriction being that he must not contact the complainant.
