January 2003 Pensioner, 75, jailed for sex offences A Wiltshire pensioner has been jailed for rape and indecent assault over a period of 40 years.

James Henry Laffin, 75, was sentenced to five years in jail when he appeared at Winchester Crown Court.

He pleaded guilty to charges of rape, attempted rape, nine indecent assaults and one count of indecency with a child.

When he is released, Laffin will be on the sex offenders’ register for life.
