HERNE BAY MAN JAMES FINCH, OF HERNE BAY, THREATENED TO KILL WOMAN AND HER FAMILY
A cowardly stalker bombarded a terrified woman with hundreds of texts and calls threatening to kill her and her family.
James Finch, of Herne Bay, also sent her videos saying he wished to break her jaw and burn plastic onto her skin.
In a separate voice message, the 36-year-old said he hoped one of her young relatives would “die in a car crash”.
Finch, of High Street, was jailed for two years at Canterbury Crown Court on January 6 after admitting what the police described as “vile actions”.
Speaking after the hearing, Detective Constable Connie Baker said: “Finch’s behaviour was cruel, relentless, and designed to instil fear.
His actions caused significant distress and humiliation, which no one should have to endure.
Tackling this kind of crime remains a top priority for Kent Police.
I want to commend the bravery of the victim in reporting this to us.
Her continued support with the investigation has helped to ensure that Finch was brought to justice for his vile actions.” Finch was arrested when his victim reported having been stalked and harassed for months.
He was arrested on October 29 and held on remand before pleading guilty to stalking and making threats to kill.
Upon his release, Finch will be made subject to a five-year restraining order.
