A man who engaged in illegal online conversations with a girl, falsely pretending she was 13, and sent her explicit images, has received a suspended jail sentence. Timothy Hawkins, 38, from Keynsham, befriended the girl on Facebook, asked her for photos, and sent his own genital images. He was sentenced to 15 weeks in prison, suspended for two years, and is required to register as a sex offender for seven years, along with restrictions on internet usage. The court emphasized the importance of protecting children from online abuse.
