JAMAL RAHEEM SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL OFFENCES IN UL-NASIR AND BRADFORD
In a case that has shocked the community, Jamal Raheem, a 31-year-old man from ul-Nasir, has been sentenced to seven years in prison for a series of disturbing sexual offences committed against two young girls in Bradford. The crimes took place over a span of two years, specifically in 2010 and 2011, when the victims were just nine and 14 years old, highlighting the heinous nature of his actions.According to court proceedings at Leeds Crown Court, Raheem-ul-Nasir carried out these offences at his residence located on Willow Street in the Girlington area of Bradford. The court found him guilty of four counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child, as well as two counts of sexual assault. These charges underscore the severity of his misconduct and the breach of trust involved.
Raheem-ul-Nasir, who resides on Firthcliffe Grove in Liversedge, was also subjected to a sexual offenders prevention order as part of his sentencing. This order aims to restrict his future interactions and prevent any further harm, reflecting the seriousness with which the justice system views his crimes.
Detective Constable Helen Riley of West Yorkshire Police expressed her thoughts on the case, stating, “Raheem-ul-Nasir took advantage of his victims’ young ages and vulnerability to carry out these attacks over a period of time. I would like to thank them for coming forward and reporting his crimes to the police, and hope that the sentence passed down today will give them some comfort.”
The case serves as a stark reminder of the importance of safeguarding children and the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to bring offenders to justice. The community now awaits the impact of the sentence, hoping it will serve as a deterrent to others who might consider similar actions.
