Croydon Child Sexual Abuser
A man named Jacob Thanuharan, aged 51 and residing on Cecil Road in Croydon, has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for sexually abusing four children over a period that spanned from 2000 to 2015. The victims, whose ages ranged from four to fifteen years old at the time of the assaults, were often targeted when they visited his house for private tutoring sessions, three of whom were assaulted during these visits. Thanuharan denied the charges, but a jury convicted him of eight counts of sexual assault after a trial. Last month, at Croydon Crown Court, he received his sentence and was also subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO). Detective Sergeant Vicki Thomson of the public protection team commented on the case, emphasizing the bravery of the victims and urging others who may have experienced similar abuse to come forward and seek support, regardless of how much time has passed.
