MAN RAPED A YOUNG GIRL IN HIS CARE THREE TIMES
Jacob Heranwa, aged 49, of Bernard Close, Huntingdon, was convicted of raping a young girl three times, despite being appointed to look after her.He showed no remorse during sentencing and was handed a 17-year prison term.
Heranwa faced three charges of raping a child under 13, which he denied, but was found guilty after a trial that lasted four days at Peterborough Crown Court.
He was sentenced on January 18 to 17 years for each charge, with the sentences to run concurrently.
The court also ordered an eight-year extended license period after his release.
In addition, he was issued a lifelong restraining order preventing him from contacting the victim’s family and was placed under an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order to restrict future behavior.
