DIBDEN PURLIEU MAN JAILED FOR CHILD SEXUAL OFFENCES
A man named Jack William Douglas Lowe from Dibden Purlieu has been sentenced to six and a half years in prison after being convicted of multiple serious sexual offenses involving children.The verdict was delivered at Southampton Crown Court on January 21, where Lowe faced 10 charges of sexual assault against a child under 13, along with two counts of attempted rape, one of attempted sexual activity with a minor, and one count of raping a girl under 13.
The offences took place over a period of two years and involved three separate children.
On February 16, Lowe was not only handed a prison term but was also ordered to remain on the sex offenders register for an indefinite duration.
Hampshire Constabulary’s Detective Constable Donna Kay expressed the hope that the sentencing process offered some relief to the victims, acknowledging their bravery in reporting the crimes and assisting the prosecution.
She also praised the efforts of the Amberstone Unit, a specialist team that played a key role in securing Lowe’s conviction.
Finally, she encouraged victims of child sexual abuse to come forward to police, emphasizing that they would be met with understanding and professional support from officers trained to assist them.
