JACK MORRIS OF THORPE ST ANDREW SENTENCED FOR HORRIFIC CRIMES AGAINST CAT AND CHILD

Jack Morris, also known as Jacky Campbell-Foley, born in December 1995 and residing at Tracey Road, Thorpe St Andrew, Norwich NR7 9LA, has been convicted of a series of heinous acts that have shocked the local community and drawn widespread condemnation. The court heard disturbing details of his cruelty, including the brutal killing of a pet cat named BMO and threats of violence and sexual assault directed at a four-year-old girl.

According to court records, Morris was recorded by the child's mother making what she described as 'demonic' threats to kill her young daughter. From his twisted perspective, Morris believed that such threats were necessary to enable him to have his own children and to find happiness, a justification that only underscores the depth of his disturbed mental state. The threats included pouring petrol on the child and setting her ablaze, as well as violent threats to beat, rape, and murder her in a manner designed to terrify.

In addition to these threats, Morris committed a heinous act of animal cruelty by kicking his ex-partner’s cat, BMO. The animal later died in a play tunnel behind the sofa, with blood found in her mouth, indicating a violent and painful death. Morris admitted to making threats to kill and causing unnecessary suffering to the animal, actions that have compounded the horror of his crimes.

Judge Alice Robinson sentenced Morris to a total of 41 months in prison. She described his actions as 'deeply disturbing' and characterized his threats as 'extreme, sadistic, and calculated,' aimed at causing maximum distress to the victim and her family. The judge emphasized that Morris’s behavior was indicative of a self-centered, compulsive liar and fantasist, whose threats were intended to terrorize and manipulate.

During mitigation, Andrew Oliver, representing Morris, acknowledged the severity of the threats and the hurtful, unpleasant things Morris had said. Oliver explained that Morris, a recovering alcoholic, had been under significant stress due to his increasing involvement in caring for his partner’s daughter. He also highlighted that Morris suffers from mental health difficulties, including ADHD, autism, and borderline personality disorder, and that he had relapsed into alcohol use at the time of the offenses.

Furthermore, Morris was subjected to an indefinite restraining order, prohibiting him from contacting the victim directly or indirectly, in an effort to protect her from further harm.

Following the conviction, Morris’s ex-partner took to Facebook to reveal additional, more disturbing details. She claimed that the facts presented in court and media reports only scratch the surface of his cruelty. She alleged that Morris had physically and sexually abused her daughter, and shared an audio recording of a lengthy conversation in which he expressed ill feelings and inappropriate behavior towards her child. Morris also admitted to killing BMO, describing in detail how he beat the cat to death, relishing the suffering inflicted on her, especially as she vomited on the floor.

The woman expressed her frustration that much of the evidence she provided to the CPS was ignored or not presented to the court. She lamented that Morris accepted a guilty plea just two days before the scheduled trial, thus avoiding a full trial and the opportunity to challenge false defense statements. She clarified that Morris’s involvement with her daughter was minimal, mostly brief visits to Tescos, and that he was less involved after the death of BMO.

She revealed that her daughter had disclosed that Morris had sexually assaulted her in November or December of the previous year, a revelation Morris had tried to deny or cover up. The woman condemned Morris’s actions, stating that he had brutally beaten her cat, sexually assaulted her daughter, and intended to cause her suffering, yet he was only sentenced to 20 months in prison. She expressed her anguish over the lasting damage he had inflicted on her family and criticized his lack of remorse.

She described Morris as a 'dangerous, narcissistic sociopath' who shows no signs of change and is supported by his family regardless of his actions. Her heartfelt hope is that no other women will have to endure similar suffering before the truth about his character is fully recognized. The case has left a lasting scar on the community of Thorpe St Andrew, highlighting the importance of vigilance and justice in the face of such disturbing behavior.
