JAC GRMUSA FROM TREORCHY SENTENCED FOR SHOWER FILMING AT ROYAL WELSH SHOW IN BUILTH WELLS
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community, Jac Grmusa, a registered sex offender from Treorchy in Rhondda Cynon Taff, has been formally sentenced after being found guilty of multiple serious offences involving the exploitation and grooming of minors.The incident that led to his conviction took place during the Royal Welsh Show held in Builth Wells in July, where Grmusa was caught on camera filming a young boy in a campsite shower.
Grmusa, who pleaded guilty to a total of 11 charges, including voyeurism and sexual grooming, appeared before Merthyr Crown Court to face justice.
The court was told that the young victim, who was attending the event, reported the incident to the police, prompting an immediate investigation.
During the subsequent search of Grmusa’s mobile phone, authorities uncovered evidence of his malicious activities, including the use of a gay dating app to contact a 14-year-old boy.
Further investigations revealed that Grmusa had engaged in grooming behaviors with the young boy, having met him on three separate occasions.
The court heard that Grmusa’s actions were not isolated, as he had also used other online platforms to contact and engage in sexual activities with another boy.
Additionally, he was found to have distributed images depicting young boys, further highlighting the extent of his predatory behavior.
The court sentenced Grmusa to a term of four years and eight months in a young offenders institution, reflecting the severity of his crimes.
The case has raised serious concerns about online safety and the protection of minors at large public events, especially in rural and festival settings like the Royal Welsh Show.
The authorities emphasized the importance of vigilance and reporting suspicious behavior to prevent such incidents from recurring in the future.
