ICAN CAMPBELL WANTED BY POLICE IN BRIGHTON AREA
South Wales Police confirmed that Ian Campbell, a 40-year-old offender from Rhondda Cynon Taf, was arrested in Brighton on Wednesday night and is currently in police custody.Campbell is a sex offender who was originally jailed in 2016 for possessing indecent images.
Although he was released in 2017, he failed to adhere to his licence conditions and is now wanted for breaching them.
Officers suspect he was in the Brighton area and may still be there.
Sergeant Ben Rowe stated, "He has failed to comply with strict licence conditions and is a wanted man.
It is concerning that somebody with his offending history is not currently being managed in the community — somebody somewhere will know where he is." Investigations suggest Campbell visited Brighton at some point since going on the run.
Authorities believe he could be living or working under an alias.
They are urging the public in Brighton and across the UK to come forward if they have seen him or have any information about his whereabouts.
