April 2022 Paedo West Lothian financial adviser snared with hoards of sick child abuse images A financial adviser was caught with a hoard of indecent images of children being sexually abused, a court heard. Police went to former mortgage consultant Iain Gillespie’s home in West Lothian armed with a search warrant, Livingston Sheriff Court was told They seized a mobile phone he had in his office in West Calder, and sent it for forensic analysis. Expert police officers found it contained 28 indecent images of girls aged between two and 14-years-old. The images fell into all three categories from ‘A’, the most serious to ‘C’ showing youngsters being raped, involved in non-penetrative sex or posing naked or partially clothed. Senior depute fiscal Fraser Matheson said Gillespie, 40, had no previous convictions. The accused pleaded guilty to having indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of children in his possession at Torphin Farm, West Calder, West Lothian between 29 July and 10 September 2015. His denial of taking or permitting indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of children to be taken or made between the same dates was accepted by the prosecution. Gillespie is listed at Companies House as a director of Harburn Finance Limited and was previously involved with West Calder and Harburn Community Development Trust. Sheriff Peter Hammond told Gillespie: “Sentence will be deferred so that the court can obtain the various reports that are required here. “Because you pled guilty to an offence of this nature you become subject to the notification requirements of the Sexual Offences Act 2003. He adjourned the case until 9 July
