Amersham Farnham Royal Child Sexual Abuser
In a tragic turn of events, Hugh Henry, an 82-year-old former teacher associated with allegations of child abuse, was discovered dead on train tracks in Buckinghamshire, just two days before he was scheduled to face sentencing. The incident occurred on Tuesday at Amersham Underground station, and authorities suspect that Henry may have taken his own life amid the mounting legal proceedings against him.

Henry was linked to Caldicott Preparatory School located in Farnham Royal, where he was accused of engaging in inappropriate and abusive conduct towards students. His death comes shortly after the conviction of his former colleague, Peter Wright, the ex-headmaster of the same institution, who was found guilty of abusing five boys aged between eight and 13. Wright, aged 83 and residing on Crown Lane in Farnham Royal, was convicted by an Amersham Crown Court jury after denying ten counts of indecent assault and two counts of indecency with a child. His sentencing was scheduled for Thursday, just days after Henry's death.

Among the notable individuals connected to the case is Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, a former pupil of Caldicott Preparatory School. Clegg expressed his shock and dismay at the news of the convictions, emphasizing that he was not a victim himself but was nonetheless deeply disturbed by the revelations. In a statement, Thames Valley Police confirmed that they had informed Henry’s next of kin about his death and that the incident was under investigation by the British Transport Police. The police also indicated that the investigation was ongoing at Amersham Underground station.

Henry’s legal troubles were part of a broader scandal involving multiple former staff members of the school. Hugh Henry had pleaded guilty to gross indecency with a child, while another former teacher, John Addrison, aged 54 and residing on Datchet Road in Slough, Berkshire, admitted to one count of indecency with a child and was sentenced to five years in prison at Aylesbury Crown Court last November. Addrison is also required to register as a sex offender for life. Another individual, David Geddes, aged 71 from Upper Wield, Hampshire, was acquitted of four counts of indecent assault on a minor during a retrial held in March of the previous year.

As the community grapples with the fallout from these disturbing allegations, the focus remains on the tragic death of Hugh Henry, which has cast a shadow over the ongoing legal proceedings and the healing process for the victims involved in this deeply troubling case.
