MET OFFICER TO APPEAR AT COURT CHARGED WITH SEXUAL ASSAULT

PC Hubert Kokoszko, who is assigned to the North Area Basic Command Unit, is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 13 August, to face charges of sexual assault.

He was formally charged on 16 July with sexually assaulting a woman and was immediately suspended from his duties following the allegation.

The charges stem from a report made to the Metropolitan Police in June 2024, concerning a sexual assault that allegedly occurred in Romania.

The victim was known to Kokoszko and the incident took place while he was off duty.

On Monday, 28 October 2024, PC Kokoszko was interviewed under caution at a police station and subsequently charged as specified.

The victim continues to receive support provided by specialized officers throughout this process.
