HODIJAH SAMUELS FROM COVENTRY SENTENCED FOR RAPE IN NUNEATON
In a case that has shocked the local community, Hodijah Samuels, a 30-year-old man residing on Wappenbury Road in Coventry, has been convicted and sentenced for a serious sexual assault that took place in Nuneaton.The incident unfolded after Samuels established a connection with a woman in her 20s through a popular dating website in July 2019.
Following their online interaction, the two agreed to meet in person, and they went out for a drink together.
The meeting was initially casual, but the situation took a dark turn when they returned to the victim’s residence.
It was there, in the early hours of the following morning, that Samuels committed the heinous act of rape.
The victim’s account and evidence presented during the trial led to Samuels being found guilty of the crime.
The case was heard at Warwick Crown Court, where justice was served on Friday, 30 October.
The court sentenced Samuels to a substantial prison term of eight years and three months, reflecting the severity of his actions and the impact on the victim.
