BRAMPTON MAN ACCUSED OF USING DOG AS A WEAPON, YET TO PLEAD
A Brampton man, Henry Taroni, aged 30 from Moatside, has been charged with multiple offenses.
He is accused of being in charge of an out-of-control dog, a greyhound, which was suggested to have been used as a weapon against a police officer.
Taroni has yet to enter a plea regarding this allegation.
In addition to the dog-related charge, he faces five other counts: obstructing a police officer; a common assault on an emergency worker, specifically a police officer; two assault by beating charges; and a breach of his sex offender registration by failing to inform the police of his residence between March 13 and May 6.
All police-related allegations concern events that occurred on May 6 in Brampton.
Magistrates have scheduled a plea hearing at Carlisle Crown Court for June 6, and Taroni will remain in custody until then.
