October 2004 Man is fined £600 for child abuse images offences A MAN caught with dozens of pornographic images on his computer has been spared jail. Henry Forrester, 56, keyed in “schoolgirls”, “pre-teen” and “Lolitas” to find indecent pictures of girls as young as six. He pled guilty at Dunfermline Sheriff Court yesterday to a charge of taking or permitting to be taken or making indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of children. He was fined 600 and placed on the sex offenders’ register for five years. Sheriff Frank Crowe also ordered that his computer should be confiscated. Forrester, of Player Drive, Kingseat, near Dunfermline, committed the offences at his home over an 18-month period between June 2001 and December 2002. He was caught through Operation Ore, the UK-wing of a huge American inquiry codenamed Candyman. Depute fiscal Dana Forbes said: “This offence came about as a part of Operation Ore. Police searched the house and found various items of computer equipment and storage media, and these were seized. “During the search, within an internet folder, 49 files were found containing indecent images of children, some of which were girls as young as six, either naked or wearing just underwear.”
