Initially, Padda faced a charge of rape, but prosecutors accepted his guilty plea to a reduced charge of sexual activity with a minor.
Judge Lord Beckett has deferred sentencing Padda until reports are prepared, indicating that a thorough assessment of his case will be conducted before a final decision is made. The legal proceedings took a further turn in July when Padda was detained at Heathrow Airport by police while attempting to board a flight, and he is now in custody in Middlesex.
