GREIG NELSON FROM KIRKCALDY FACES COURT OVER THREATS IN DUNFERMLINE
A woman from Dunfermline was threatened through a voicemail left by her former partner. The incident involved 41-year-old chef Greig Nelson, who resides on Hazel Avenue in Kirkcaldy.
Nelson appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court to admit to sending the threatening voicemail on October 29 at Calaisburn Place, Dunfermline.
In the message, he swore and issued threats to his ex-partner.
The couple had been together for seven years until January.
The breakup followed an argument about Christmas presents, during which she asked him to leave, leading her to stop paying for his SIM card.
Afterwards, she received a call from another number, and a voice message was left in which Nelson warned her, saying, “try your p*** with me” and threatening, “trouble will start and by God I will win.” He also used offensive language, stating: “Get that through your f****** thick head you c***,” and added: “You know what I’ll do to you,” along with a caution: “Watch your f****** self okay.” Defence solicitor Calum Harris told the court that Nelson was ashamed of his actions but dismissed the threats as empty.
Nelson showed remorse, stating, “This is the worst thing I’ve done in my life.” Ultimately, Sheriff Wylie Robertson fined Nelson £420.
