GRANT LEE SENTENCED TO 17 YEARS IN PRISON IN ESSEX FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES

In February 2019, Grant Lee, a 62-year-old sex offender from Turpins Avenue, Clacton, was sentenced to 17 years in prison after being convicted of a series of child abuse crimes spanning nearly four decades.
Lee, who described himself as believing he was 'untouchable,' committed his disturbing acts from 1980 until 2017. His abuse involved multiple children, all under the age of 16.
The Essex Police child abuse investigation team first received reports of Lee's abusive behavior in January 2017. Following a thorough investigation, charges were brought against him.
He appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court, where he was found guilty of 15 counts of indecent assault on a child, one count of assaulting a child by touching, and one count of causing a child to engage in sexual activity.
Today at the same court, Lee was sentenced to a total of 17 years in prison. In addition to his imprisonment, he was issued an indefinite sexual harm prevention order and will remain on the sex offender register for life.
