A pervert who fantasised about being involved in the Soham murders of Jessica Chapman and Holly Wells distributed sickening photographs of children being sexually abused.
Glenn Cossey, 54, of Shelfanger, near Diss, exchanged the images with another pervert he met through an internet chat-room and they both talked about the idea of torturing children, Norwich Crown Court heard yesterday.
Chris Youell, prosecuting, said Cossey even discussed the shocking Soham murders with his contact, Alexander Gardener, who lived in Hampshire.
Norfolk police raided Cossey's home in Rectory Road, after police in Hampshire arrested Gardener.
His computer was seized and analysed by officers from Norfolk Constabulary's High Tech Crime Unit.
The computer was found by police to contain 273 indecent images of children which included sado-masochism images.
Yesterday Cossey was jailed for nine months and placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years after admitting making, possessing and distributing child pornography.
Judge Peter Jacobs also made an order under which Cossey is banned from owning a computer or downloading any material or using chatrooms.
Cossey was also banned from working with children.
Michael Clare, mitigating, said that Cossey was of previous good character.
