EX-PARTNER HANDED TWO-YEAR NON-HARASSMENT ORDER AFTER DOMESTIC ABUSE CASE A man has been handed a two-year Non-Harassment Order and ordered to complete 275 hours of unpaid work following a domestic abuse case.
His former partner says she was subjected to domestic abuse and coercive control during their relationship.
According to her account, the man appeared in court three times and initially pleaded not guilty before later changing his plea and admitting the offence.
A court document confirms that the Non-Harassment Order was imposed following a conviction under Scotland’s domestic abuse legislation, with a statutory aggravation involving a child.
Under the terms of the order, he must not approach, contact, communicate with, or attempt to contact his former partner for two years.
Alongside the protective order, he was also given a Community Payback Order requiring 275 hours of unpaid work.
The sentence brings a lengthy court process to an end and is intended to protect the victim from any further unwanted contact.
