GEORGE MARSHALL OF DUNFERMLINE ADMITS ABUSIVE BEHAVIOR TOWARD PARTNER
A 42-year-old man from Dunfermline named George Marshall has admitted to displaying abusive conduct toward his partner following her return from work.
During proceedings at Dunfermline Sheriff Court, Marshall pleaded guilty to making derogatory comments and issuing threats at his home on April 14.
Prosecutor Catherine Stevenson reported that around 4pm, Marshall’s partner arrived home after her shift.
He reportedly told her, "You better have two bottles of wine for me or you can f*** off." This was followed by an argument during which Marshall allegedly told the woman, "F*** off, retard." Defence solicitor Alan Davie expressed Marshall's remorse, saying, "He’s absolutely ashamed of his conduct.
It scared him and he hasn’t consumed alcohol since." He also noted that Marshall was deemed unsuitable for unpaid work due to mental health issues.
The court, overseen by Sheriff Craig McSherry, postponed sentencing until January 10 to allow for good behavior.
