KIRKCALDY SEX OFFENDER GARY SALA SENTENCED FOR CHILD INDECENT IMAGES

A resident of Kirkcaldy, Gary Sala, has been officially placed on the sex offenders register for a period of five years following his admission to possessing indecent images of children.

The court proceedings revealed that Sala, aged 61, had accumulated these illicit images over a span of more than a year, specifically from March 2022 through October 2023.

Gary Sala, who resides on Harris Drive in Kirkcaldy, faced the consequences of his actions in a court of law where he pleaded guilty to the charges.

As part of his sentencing, he was mandated to register as a sex offender for the next five years, a measure designed to monitor his activities and ensure public safety.

In addition to the registration requirement, Sala received a three-year supervision order, which will involve regular monitoring and support to prevent any further offending.

Furthermore, he was sentenced to complete 160 hours of unpaid community work, emphasizing the judicial system’s focus on rehabilitation and accountability.
