Gary Lee Reid, aged 42, was sentenced to 100 hours of unpaid community work after confessing to placing a tracking device on a woman's car.
He appeared before the magistrates court in Workington on Friday to face the charges.
Reid, a resident of Seaton Road, Broughton Moor, pleaded guilty to several offences, including monitoring the woman’s phone calls, following her to multiple locations, and attaching a GPS tracker to her vehicle.
The court was informed that Reid's stalking behavior occurred between December 2018 and October 2019.
In addition to the community service, Reid was ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £90.
