GARY JELLY FROM LEICESTER SENTENCED FOR SEX OFFENCES AND VIOLENCE AGAINST TEENAGE GIRL
In a case that has shocked the community of Leicester, Gary Jelly, a 52-year-old man with a troubling criminal history, has been sentenced to prison for a series of serious sexual offences and acts of intimidation involving a teenage girl.
The lengthy and disturbing case was brought to light after the victim, who was just 15 when the abuse began, bravely testified against Jelly, revealing the extent of his manipulative and coercive behavior over a period of more than a decade.
Jelly, who previously used the surname Bollen and had a prior conviction for manslaughter, first befriended the young girl more than 15 years ago.
During their initial interactions, he gained her trust by offering her cigarettes and money, establishing a grooming relationship that would later escalate into abuse.
