GARY GRAY FROM FIFE CAUGHT WITH OVER 90,000 EXTREME PORN IMAGES AND CHILD ABUSE MATERIALS IN GARAGE SERVER
In a disturbing case uncovered in Fife, authorities revealed that Gary Gray, a 59-year-old resident of Collinswell Drive, Burntisland, had accumulated an extensive and disturbing collection of illegal and extreme pornography over a period spanning more than 15 years.The investigation was initiated after police received intelligence suggesting that Gray was involved in downloading and storing illicit images and videos, prompting a detailed search of his property.
During the search, conducted by six detectives, officers discovered a server actively running in Gray’s garage, along with numerous hard drives containing highly disturbing content.
The garage, attached to his home, was found to house a significant number of electronic devices, including 62 seized items for further forensic examination.
Among these devices, 34 hard drives were recovered, each containing a vast array of illegal material.
The police investigation revealed that Gray had amassed a staggering total of 75,692 images and 15,208 videos depicting extreme pornography.
The content included images and videos that depicted acts of extreme torture inflicted upon women, as well as a large proportion involving bestiality—sexual acts between humans and various animal species.
The material was found to be highly graphic and disturbing, raising serious concerns about the nature of his activities.
In addition to the extreme pornography, authorities uncovered 274 images of child abuse, categorized from A to C, with all but three of the Category A images being inaccessible.
The investigation also uncovered 13 videos classified as Category A, of which 10 were accessible.
These images and videos depicted the sexual abuse of children, adding a grave dimension to the case.
The police confirmed that the majority of the content related to bestiality and sadomasochism, but that Gray’s search for such material led to the possession of a smaller number of child abuse images.
Gray was taken into custody and subsequently appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.
He admitted to possessing extreme pornography at his home between October 2006 and July 2021, as well as possessing child abuse images over the same period, from October 2009 to July 2021.
He also entered a plea of not guilty to a charge of taking or making indecent images of children, which the Crown accepted.
Following his appearance in court, Gray was placed on the Sex Offenders Register, with sentencing scheduled for July.
