MANSFIELD MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO ATTEMPTING TO ENCOURAGE GIRL INTO SEX ACT
A 43-year-old man must sign the sex offenders' register after an attempted sex offence involving a 12-year-old girl.
Garrick Nursey pleaded guilty to attempting to cause or incite the child to engage in sexual activity on July 20, 2021.
Appearing at Nottingham Crown Court, Nursey, of Eakring Road, Mansfield, admitted his guilt and is now obliged to notify police of any change of address.
Mr Ewing, representing Nursey, said he had been through the sentencing guidelines with him.
The judge requested a pre-sentence report and scheduled the sentencing for July 5, noting that "the vast majority of cases like this lead to a prison sentence." Nursey was advised to return to court for sentencing, emphasizing the seriousness of the case.
