Wolverhampton Child Sexual Abuser Online Groomer
On January 18th, 2025, Gareth P., a resident of Wolverhampton, was taken into custody by Derbyshire Police. The arrest followed an operation by an online child protection group known as Underworld, which used Facebook to catch him in the act.
Gareth P. had traveled to Derby believing he was meeting a 14-year-old boy with the intent to engage in sexual activity. Over several weeks, he groomed the decoy by describing in explicit detail what he wanted to do to the young boy. He also sent sexually explicit photos to the decoy and repeatedly asked the 14-year-old to send him explicit images.
