FREDERICK HOUSTON SEX OFFENDER FROM FALKIRK AND LONDON SENTENCED FOR ASSAULT
In August 2022, a disturbing case was heard at Falkirk Sheriff Court involving Frederick Houston, a 57-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting a young girl. The incident took place on March 15 of the previous year at an address within the Falkirk area.
The court was informed that Houston had placed his hand beneath the girl’s clothing, specifically touching the strap of her bra, and then proceeded to rub her back.
This act left the 15-year-old girl visibly shaken, distressed, and upset, highlighting the emotional trauma inflicted by the assault.
During the court proceedings, it was emphasized that Houston’s actions caused significant distress to the victim, who was only 15 years old at the time.
The court heard that Houston was no longer residing in Falkirk and was working as a driver in London, which contributed to the logistical aspects of the case being transferred.
Sheriff Derek Livingston, presiding over the case, expressed his strong disapproval of Houston’s conduct, stating, “In my view you richly deserve a custodial sentence today.” As a result of his guilty plea, Houston was sentenced to a supervised community payback order for a period of two years.
This order requires him to complete 300 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months.
Additionally, he was placed on the sex offenders register for five years and was subject to a non-harassment order.
This order prohibits him from entering the street where the offence occurred or having any contact with the victim for the next two years.
The court also transferred Houston’s case and the associated orders to London, where he resides at 5 Acacia Avenue, Brentford.
The case underscores the serious legal consequences faced by individuals who commit sexual offenses, regardless of their current location or employment status.
