Weston Child Sexual Abuser
In January 2012, a man from Weston named Frank Sheingold faced serious legal consequences after being found guilty of possessing and creating indecent images of a child. The case was heard at Bristol Crown Court, where Sheingold, aged 66 and residing on Clarence Road South, admitted to a total of 16 charges related to the production of indecent photographs of a minor. In addition to these charges, he also pleaded guilty to possessing a prohibited image of a child, as well as an indecent image involving an animal, highlighting the disturbing nature of his offenses.

Following his admission, the court sentenced Sheingold to five months in prison. The sentence reflects the severity of his actions and the criminal nature of the images involved. Furthermore, the court mandated that Sheingold register as a sex offender for a period of seven years, a measure designed to monitor and restrict his activities following his release from custody.

In addition to the registration requirement, Sheingold was issued a sex offenders prevention order, also valid for seven years. This order aims to prevent any further offenses and to protect the community from potential harm. The sentencing and orders were formally imposed during a court appearance on January 6, underscoring the judicial system's stance on such serious offenses involving child exploitation and abuse.
