The Gardai have sent out an alert over fears pensioner Frank Massey is on the prowl in towns along the Border. Massey, who is originally from the North and has a conviction for possessing horrific images of kids being abused, claims to have recently found God. Nevertheless, the sicko has been banned from every leisure centre in the country. The paedophile — who breached a previous order preventing him from contacting children — has also been banned from going within 50 metres of kids in public and where youngsters under 17 play. And he also has to notify the Gardai of his plans to attend a prayer group meeting 48 hours in advance. Other restrictions include him being barred from using a computer. The fiend’s banning order was initially made in the North, but it was later transferred here after a court hearing at Dundalk Circuit Court in Co Louth in October. Although Massey has strict conditions on his movements, cops believe he is using the name ­Francis Matthews. A source said: “Massey is very cunning and is a real danger to children. He’s under some of the most stringent conditions in the country but often ignores them. “He’s still living in the North but has been spending more time in Co Louth because he’s convinced no one will know him. “Gardai are now aware that he’s been seen in Dundalk and if he breaches his conditions he will be immediately arrested.” Massey, who has also been ­spotted in Monaghan, was jailed for five months in 2012 for possessing indecent images of children. Frank Massey who has a conviction for possessing child abuse images was back in court last week for breaching the terms of a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO). The former chairman of 1st Dungannon Linfield Supporters Club hit the headlines in 2012 when he was jailed for five months for possessing indecent images of children. At Newry Crown Court last week the 61-year-old from Tullymore Road, Banbridge, admitted four breaches of the SOPO imposed upon him which included making phone calls, sending texts and Facebook messages to a 13-year-old boy and 15-year-old girl. December 2011 Dungannon man admits possessing indecent images of children A sixty-year old man has pleaded guilty to 17 charges of possessing indecent images of children, after arraignment at Dungannon Crown Court. A trial was due to begin in the case of Frank Massey formerly of Victoria Way in Dungannon but presently bailed to reside at Tullymore Road, Banbridge. However before a jury was chosen he pleaded guilty to all matters. The charges date from March 8 2005 and February 5 2011. Her Honour Judge McReynolds ordered pre-sentence reports and remanded Massey on continuing High Court bail of £400 with a surety of £400. Massey is further barred from being alone or in contact with any person under the age of 18, and if there is to be contact with a child or children he must inform PSNI and Social Services in advance. He must also report to police three times per week, and must not enter any public library, internet café, swimming pool or leisure centre. In addition he is forbidden from possessing or attempting to use a computer and must not go within a one mile radius of a specifically named primary school. Sentencing will take place at Omagh Crown Court on February 15. Massey will also be required to sign the Sexual Offenders Register. Massey used to run the 1st Dungannon Linfield Supporters Club
