STEROID-FUELLED PERSONAL TRAINER JAILED FOR RAPE AND ATTEMPTED RAPE
A steroid-using personal trainer named Francis Skachill, aged 39, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for serious sexual offenses.Skachill, who had a history of violence, assaulted and raped one of his clients and attempted to assault another woman while on bail.
He used cocaine and anabolic steroids to boost his libido before committing his crimes.
During the attack on his first victim, he threw her against a radiator, choked her, and made disturbing remarks such as 'I'm a caveman' and 'violence solves everything'.
The court heard that Skachill was manipulative, isolating his victim from family and friends, and controlling her through violence and fear.
He also humiliated her about her weight and told her she was 'a bit fat'.
The rape involved him tearing off her clothes, slapping her, and throwing her around like a ragdoll, with her trying to resist.
He arrived at her home uninvited and assaulted her further, even as her children heard the violence and saw him naked.
Skachill's history includes previous convictions for violent acts, including assaulting a police officer by grabbing his testicles, biting his ex-partner's chest, and cutting her hair.
He was found guilty of rape, attempted rape, and assault, and was told by the judge that he would not be released until deemed safe, which the judge believed he was not.
Skachill's violent behavior was reportedly fueled by his drug use, and he had a reputation for dangerous conduct.
The court sentenced him to serve 15 years, and he was held in custody until considered safe for release.
