FAIZAN DOGAR AND HIS SHOCKING CRIMES IN MANCHESTER AND BURY
A man identified as Faizan Dogar has been sentenced to life imprisonment after being found guilty of committing heinous sexual offenses involving two teenage girls in the Manchester and Bury areas.On Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Manchester Crown Court, Dogar, aged 19, whose address was listed as Bolton Road, Bury, accepted responsibility for a total of 12 criminal charges related to sexual assault and exploitation.
His convictions include five counts of rape, two counts of sexual communication with a minor, three counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and two counts of possessing indecent images.
The seriousness of Dogar’s convictions was underscored by Detective Constable Nathan Lilley from Bury CID, who spoke about the case: “Dogar is a calculating sexual predator who has subjected two young girls to horrific attacks.
He is a fantasist with an unhealthy interest in the abuse of women and young girls.
Both victims have shown remarkable bravery by coming forward and providing evidence that led to his conviction.
They continue to receive support from specialist Greater Manchester Police officers.
It is a relief that he is now off the streets and behind bars, where he cannot pose any further threat.” The first victim’s ordeal began when Dogar initiated contact via social media platforms Facebook and Snapchat in August 2021.
The pair arranged to meet in person, and that evening, the situation rapidly turned sinister.
When the girl expressed her need to leave, Dogar became aggressive.
He reportedly put her in a headlock and groped her against her will.
He then threatened to suffocate her until she lost consciousness if she did not comply with his demands.
Ultimately, Dogar proceeded to sexually assault her, committing her rape.
Following the attack, authorities used CCTV footage to track Dogar’s movements and identified him with the victim shortly after the incident.
During a subsequent police investigation, officers found the clothing Dogar had been wearing on the night of the assault at his residence.
A search of his property also uncovered his mobile phone, which contained indecent images and evidence linking him directly to the victim.
The case’s second victim came into contact with Dogar in May 2022.
He approached her through Snapchat, where they initially discussed gaming interests.
The communication quickly escalated, and they arranged to meet.
Unfortunately, this meeting resulted in her being sexually assaulted by Dogar, adding to his long list of offenses.
Detectives from GMP’s Bury and Salford districts linked a mobile phone number used to contact the second victim to Dogar.
Once the evidence was solid, police arrested him, and he was formally charged with the entire spectrum of criminal offenses, including the previously mentioned 12 counts.
The investigation was led by police officers dedicated to tackling serious sexual crimes, and Dogar’s actions have since been seen as emblematic of the dangers posed by predatory offenders in the community.
