EWAN STARK'S SHOCKING SEXUAL PREDATOR BEHAVIOR IN FALKLAND AND BEYOND

Ewan Stark, aged 39, a fiddle instructor from Falkland, has been found guilty of engaging in disturbing and predatory conduct involving multiple young victims. The disturbing case came to light after Stark's wife discovered a naked photograph of his genitals, which he had sent to a teenage girl. This discovery prompted her to report him to the police, initiating a thorough investigation that uncovered a pattern of inappropriate and sexual messaging directed at several minors.

Stark's predatory actions extended over several years, with his victims including two young pupils he taught in the art of fiddle playing, as well as two teenagers he encountered while working at a local pub. The earliest known victim was only 14 years old when Stark began sending her suggestive messages, such as, “lying in bed thinking of you,” and, “when you come for your lesson wear something skimpy.” These messages revealed a clear pattern of grooming and sexual innuendo directed at a minor.

After the girl, who had been Stark’s pupil since she was 12, confided in her mother and severed contact with him, Stark did not cease his inappropriate behavior. Instead, he turned his attention to the girl’s best friend, reaching out via Facebook with messages like, “It’s hot. What are you wearing to bed?” His harassment escalated as he continued to pursue other victims, including a 16-year-old girl, with whom he exchanged highly suggestive messages. Stark also sent her a nude photograph, asking her to reciprocate, which she refused.

His inappropriate communications included overtly sexual propositions such as, “do you want to spoon with me?” and even more alarming, “I could climb in through your bedroom window at night for a cuddle.” These messages demonstrated a disturbing pattern of predatory behavior aimed at minors, crossing boundaries of appropriate conduct and legality.

Stark’s actions came under legal scrutiny when he appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court, where he pled guilty to multiple charges. These charges included lewd, indecent, and libidinous practices and behavior, along with four counts under the Sexual Offences Scotland Act. The offenses spanned from May 2009 to September 2014 and took place across various locations, notably including Cupar and Glenrothes.

During the court proceedings, Sheriff Michael Wood deferred sentencing until October, allowing Stark to remain on bail. The defense attorney indicated that Stark’s actions had already resulted in the loss of his marriage and his career, highlighting the personal toll of his misconduct. The case underscores the serious nature of his offenses and the ongoing concern for the safety and well-being of young people in the community.
