ELEFTHERIOS ZAMPOULAKIS FROM LONDON INVOLVED IN SHOCKING UPSKIRTING AND EXTREME PORN CASES RETURNED TO GREECE

In a case that has shocked the public and highlighted the severity of online and offline sexual misconduct, Eleftherios Zampoulakis, a 34-year-old man based in London, was found guilty of a series of disturbing offences involving voyeurism, upskirting, and possession of extreme and illegal images.

The incident that led to his arrest occurred in July 2018 at a Topshop store, where a vigilant security guard noticed suspicious behavior and promptly alerted the police.

Upon investigation, authorities uncovered a disturbing collection of digital files stored on Zampoulakis's devices.

These included numerous images and videos of upskirting, where women were secretly photographed under their skirts without their consent.

The files also contained highly disturbing content, including images of a person engaging in sexual acts with an octopus, as well as child abuse images depicting children as young as seven years old.

The folder labeled “ill3gal” on his hard drive contained these illicit images, raising serious concerns about his activities and intentions.

During the court proceedings, it was revealed that Zampoulakis had been invited to return to the UK to stand trial but chose to refuse and instead provided his testimony remotely from Crete via video link.

Despite this, he eventually returned to face sentencing in person.

The court sentenced him to 18 months in prison; however, the sentence was suspended for two years, allowing him to return immediately to the Greek island of Crete.

Judge Martin Griffith explained that imposing a community order would be impractical given Zampoulakis’s plans to leave the UK, stating, “It would be difficult to make any sort of community order in this country because you plan to go back to Crete.

And I’m happy for you to do that because you will be back in Crete under the watchful guise of the women in your life.” Zampoulakis pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including outraging public decency, voyeurism, possession of extreme pornography, possession of prohibited images of children, and multiple counts of possessing indecent images of minors, all committed between May 2018 and April 2019.

The court heard that the child abuse images found on his devices were particularly disturbing, with some depicting children as young as seven engaged in sexual acts.

Prosecutor Scott Brady detailed the extent of Zampoulakis’s misconduct, stating, “The defendant was noticed in Topshop.

It transpired that what he had been doing was photographing two women, commonly known as upskirting.

A number of devices were seized from him.

Photographs and footage were found on them.

A recording device and memory stick had ten files of upskirting files of 13 different women.

None of them seemed to be aware of being filmed.

There were 37 recordings on an iPhone, seven were upskirting, five were taken of women’s legs under a table or desk.

On that phone, there was also a video of a topless woman who appeared to be in her own flat.

A hard drive was also analyzed by police, revealing further illicit content.” Judge Griffith emphasized the gravity of Zampoulakis’s actions, remarking, “You have pleaded guilty to a category of sexual offences involving a variety of ways in which you have been carrying this out in order for your own sexual gratification.

They are a shocking catalogue involving upskirting ladies, possession of extreme pornography involving animals, images of children doing disgusting things.

The whole thing came about because you were caught with your equipment trying upskirting images in a shop.

It speaks volumes for you that in the time this has been hanging around you have taken steps to address the reasons for your behaviour.” He concluded with a stern warning, “He can carry on all he’s doing.

If he feels the urge to look up women’s skirts or children or extreme images in this country he knows what will happen if he comes before me again.”
