February 2019 74-year-old St Neots paedophile sexually assaulted two young boys A 74-year-old who sexually assaulted two young boys over the last two years has been jailed for 10 years. Edward Seamark, of Queens Court in Eaton Socon, assaulted the first boy in June 2017 at a Peterborough property. Peterborough Crown Court heard the paedophile touched the young boy sexually and asked him to take his shorts and pants down in an alleyway. Seamark exposed himself multiple times to the boy, who disclosed the abuse a month later. On December 20 last year, Seamark sexually assaulted another boy twice in St Neots after pulling down his trousers. The young boy spoke about the abuse after a family member asked about his day. He said what Seamark had done made him feel “sad”, the court heard. The 74-year-old was released on bail after being arrested for the first sex attack, but went on to commit the second. When police questioned him, Seamark denied deliberately intending to expose himself or touch the two boys. But he later admitted charges including four counts of assaulting a boy under 13 by touching, exposure and inciting a boy under 13 to engage in sexual activity On Friday (February 15) at Peterborough Crown Court he was handed a 10-year prison sentence. He was also made the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and put on the Sex Offenders Register for life. The SHPO stops Seamark having unsupervised contact with boys aged under 16 and from forming any intimate relationship with the parent or guardian of a child aged under 16. A 11-year restraining order has been put in place prevent him from contacting any of the witnesses in the case.
