EDWARD EXTENCE CAUGHT WITH OVER 250 INDECENT IMAGES IN WORLE

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Worle, police investigations uncovered a troubling collection of illicit material on the computer of local resident Edward Extence. The 39-year-old, who resides on High Street, was found to possess a significant number of indecent images involving minors and extreme pornography depicting animals.

Between the years 2016 and 2017, law enforcement officials utilized advanced monitoring technology to scrutinize Extence’s digital activity. Their efforts revealed that he had stored a total of 45 photographs of children, which are considered to be among the most serious forms of child exploitation material. In addition to these, police discovered an alarming collection of 239 images classified as 'extreme' pornography, which depicted individuals engaging in sexual acts with animals. Such material is widely regarded as 'grossly offensive' and morally repugnant, and its possession is a criminal offense under UK law.

Following a thorough investigation, Edward Extence was brought before Bristol Crown Court, where he pleaded guilty to multiple charges. Specifically, he admitted to three counts of making indecent photographs of children and one count of possessing extreme pornographic images. The court’s assessment of the case emphasized the disturbing nature of the material involved, highlighting its offensive and repulsive qualities.

On May 16, the judge sentenced Extence to a 10-month prison term, which was suspended for a period of 12 months. This means that he will not serve time in custody unless he commits further offenses within that period. Additionally, Extence was ordered to pay £200 in court costs. As part of his sentence, he was also mandated to register as a sex offender for the next ten years, a measure intended to monitor and prevent future offending. Furthermore, he was subjected to a sexual harm prevention order that will remain in effect for five years, restricting his activities and contact with vulnerable individuals. To support his rehabilitation, Extence is required to complete a 55-day court-mandated rehabilitation program aimed at addressing underlying issues related to his offending behavior.
