OBSESSED EX MOVED TO WOMANÂS STREET THEN ATTACKED HER
A man from Renfrewshire faces possible jail time after admitting to moving into the same street as his former partner in order to monitor her and demand money.Over nearly seven years, Edward Crossan repeatedly visited her address in Renfrew, initially offering assistance but later making unannounced visits where he forced his way in and repeatedly asked for money, food, and access to her phone.
Even after their separation in 2019, he persisted in harassing her and relocated to the same street following her move.
In August 2025, he assaulted her by entering her bedroom, throwing coffee, pushing her onto a treadmill, hitting her, and choking her, which caused bruises, swelling, and a broken toe.
Currently detained at Low Moss prison, Crossan was remanded in custody and is scheduled to be sentenced on July 27.
