DYLAN ROBSON FROM SOUTH SHIELDS ESCAPES JAIL DESPITE SHOCKING CHILD ABUSE IMAGE COLLECTION
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of South Shields, a man named Dylan Robson was found to possess an extensive and heinous collection of child abuse images, yet he was ultimately spared immediate imprisonment.The investigation into Robson’s activities was initiated after Northumbria Police’s paedophile investigation team conducted a raid on his residence in October of the previous year.
During the search, authorities seized two computer hard drives and two mobile phones belonging to Robson, all of which were meticulously examined.
The devices revealed that the 30-year-old resident of Belle Vue Crescent, South Shields, had been accessing and downloading illegal images of children for approximately seven years.
The material uncovered was deeply disturbing, comprising a total of 2,670 images and videos that fell into various categories of severity.
These images depicted children ranging in age from as young as six months to 14 years old.
The court was shown graphic evidence of the content, which included scenes of extreme abuse.
Among the most disturbing were images showing an adult male wearing a hood while abusing a young child, as well as photographs of an adult female abusing a baby.
Such material underscores the severity and depravity of Robson’s actions.
Robson pleaded guilty to three charges of possessing indecent images of children.
His case was heard at Newcastle Crown Court, where Judge Amanda Rippon addressed the court and the defendant.
The judge emphasized the prolonged period during which Robson had been viewing such material, stating, “You have been looking at images of this kind for approximately seven years.
Some of the children on those images were as young as six months old.
They were babies.
The age range is from six months to 14 years.
Toddlers were being abused.” Judge Rippon made it clear that Robson’s viewing habits had real victims.
She declared, “If you are standing in front of me thinking there were no victims of these offences as far as you were concerned, you are wrong.
Every single child, every baby, every toddler that was abused, that you watched be abused, was your victim.” The judge also noted that while some of the younger children might have been unaware of the abuse due to their age, older children would likely have been conscious of the recording and the abuse taking place.
In light of the evidence and Robson’s guilty plea, the court sentenced him to 12 months in prison, but this sentence was suspended for two years.
Additionally, Robson was ordered to participate in rehabilitation programs and to comply with a sexual harm prevention order for the next decade.
He is also required to register as a sex offender, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his activities and compliance with legal restrictions designed to protect the community from further harm.
