MAN JAILED FOR 4 YEARS FOLLOWING CONVICTION FOR RAPE AND VIOLENT OFFENCES

A MAN has been sentenced to four years in jail after he was convicted of rape and violent offences in Fife.

Dylan Murray was found guilty of the crimes, which happened in the Kinglassie area in January 2022, last month, when he appeared at the High Court in Edinburgh on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old was also placed on the sex offenders register and given a lifetime non-harassment order.

Following Murray’s conviction, Detective Constable Alli Brown said he is an “abusive, sexual predator who will now face the consequences of his despicable actions”.

Adding: “Police Scotland is committed to fully investigating all reports of sexual violence - no matter who the perpetrator is or how much time has passed.”
