Dylan Meaney Child Sexual Abuser in Leicester
DYLAN MEANEY
Dylan Meaney appeared before Leicester Magistrates’ Court on 25 June 2026, where, according to a Crown Prosecution Service case outcome letter shown to us, he pleaded guilty to a charge described as: “Adult attempt to engage in sexual communication with a child.” The court imposed a community order, with requirements including a six-month drug rehabilitation programme under the direction of probation.
Meaney was also ordered to complete 120 hours of unpaid work, supervised by a responsible officer.
In a further consequence of the conviction, the letter states that he is required to register with police under the Sexual Offences Act 2003 for five years.
He was additionally ordered to pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
GUILTY PLEA ENDS CASE The outcome was communicated to a witness following the hearing, with the official-looking correspondence headed “Guilty plea and sentenced.” The sentence requirements are stated to run under the community order, with a compliance date shown in the letter as 24 December 2027.
The case serves as another stark reminder that attempts to engage in sexual communication with children can lead to criminal conviction, court supervision and sex-offender notification requirements.
