MONTROSE MAN ON SEX OFFENDERS REGISTER AFTER ARBROATH BAR ASSAULT
A man from Montrose has been placed on the Sex Offenders Register after committing a sexual assault at Bowlers Bar in Arbroath on August 19 of the previous year.
Dylan Allan, 26, was at the Ernest Street pub where he consumed a considerable amount of alcohol.
During the incident, Allan repeatedly put his arm around a woman, whom he did not know, and then proceeded to handle her buttocks above clothing.
Later that night, Allan engaged in inappropriate sexual behavior by plunging his hand down his trousers and handling his genitals in front of the woman, another man, and a woman who were present.
He admitted to the charges before the court.
Sheriff Jillian Martin-Brown sentenced Allan to a year of supervision and mandated his registration on the Sex Offenders Register for the same period.
Additionally, Allan was required to undergo alcohol treatment as part of his community payback order.
