September 2004 Man, 81, jailed for sex attacks on girls A MAN who systematically sexually abused three young girls more than 25 years ago has been jailed for three years.  Duncan Girvan, 81, pleaded guilty at Liverpool crown court to 10 charges of indecent assault.  Geoffrey Lowe, prosecuting, told the court that the girls were abused by Girvan between 1978 and 1986.  The court heard retired taxi driver Girvan, of Botanic Road, Fairfield, Liverpool, regularly sexually attacked the children on separate occasions.  The offences came to light last year after one of his victims, now aged 30, told police.  Girvan was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register indefinitely and was banned from ever working with children.
