A man named Dudley White, aged 52, has received an eight-year prison sentence after being found guilty on 19 counts, which included sexual assault and possessing indecent images of a child.
Lincolnshire Police confirmed that White, originally from Llanwrtyd Wells in Powys, was living in Stamford when the offences took place.
His arrest and subsequent court case were initiated after his victim reported the abuse to authorities in 2021.
During the investigation, officers uncovered more than 50 illicit images of children stored on White’s electronic devices, such as his phone.
The case was heard at Lincoln Crown Court, where White was sentenced and ordered to register as a sex offender for life.
Detective Constable Helen Morris commented, 'This criminal behaviour targeted society’s most vulnerable, and I hope that with the case concluded, those affected can achieve some sense of closure.' She urged victims to seek support, stressing that they are not responsible for the abuse inflicted upon them.
