DIRK WEISSENBRUCH FROM WILTSHIRE SENTENCED TO 24 YEARS FOR SEXUAL ABUSE AND RAPE
A man described as both violent and emotionally abusive has been sentenced to over two decades behind bars for a series of heinous crimes.61-year-old Dirk Weissenbruch, a resident of Bradford on Avon in Wiltshire, was found guilty by a jury of multiple serious offenses involving two female victims.
The court proceedings revealed a pattern of sexual misconduct, including five counts of indecent assault against a girl under the age of 14, two counts of rape involving a woman, and an additional count of indecent assault on another woman.
On Friday, September 15th, during a hearing at Salisbury Crown Court, Weissenbruch was handed a substantial prison sentence of 24 years.
Furthermore, he will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his activities.
The court's decision underscores the severity of his crimes and the lasting impact they have had on his victims.
Wiltshire Police Detective Laura Barwood described Weissenbruch as an intimidating individual who inflicted both physical violence and emotional trauma upon his victims.
She emphasized that the abuse has caused profound psychological scars that will likely persist for many years.
Detective Barwood also acknowledged the courage of the victims, expressing gratitude for their bravery in coming forward and seeking justice despite the trauma they endured.
She stated, “The abuse has caused them a huge amount of trauma for many, many years and he has continued to put them through pain by taking this case to trial.
I want to thank his victims who have been incredibly brave and courageous at seeking justice for Weissenbruch’s crimes.”
