A Walsall man named Deepak Sehdev has been sentenced to five and a half years in prison for raping a woman in a car park located in the Black Country area.
Sehdev, aged 30 and residing on Gorway Road, was convicted of rape and sexual assault after a five-day trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court on December 18.
The incident occurred on August 13, 2008, when the victim, a 20-year-old woman, met Sehdev after a night out.
Sehdev then picked her up and drove her to the car park of Coseley Working Men's Club on Ivyhouse Lane, where he committed the offenses.
